Abstract

1316638 Air conditioning WITTE HAUSTECHNIK GmbH 9 June 1970 [24 June 1969] 27764/70 Heading F4V In an indoor swimming pool installation, an air conditioning and basin water heating unit comprises a heat pump having a compressor 20, an evaporator 14 and a condenser which forms or is in heat exchange relationship with a heat exchanger 16, the heat exchangers 14, 16 and a fan 17 being arranged in an air conditioning duct 2 which is separated from a machine space 4 by a partition 3, and a basin water heating circuit including a or the condenser of the heat pump and an auxiliary electrical resistance heater 22. In the form shown, the heat pump includes three condensers 16, 18, 19, the latter providing a heat source for a floor heating system. The duct 2 which is lined with glass wool or sprayedon plastics material, also includes a filter 13, a mist collector 15, a fresh air inlet 7 and an exhaust air outlet 8. In another embodiment, two heat exchangers immediately upstream of the evaporator 14 and downstream of the mist collector 15 respectively are connected by a closed water circuit, and a heat storage block, an electrical heater or a heat exchanger supplied with hot water from an electrically heated water storage vessel is provided immediately downsiream of the heat exchanger 16. In a third embodiment, the heat pump includes a single condenser which heats the heat exchanger 16 and the basin water through supplementary water circuits. The fan 17, the fan motor 17<SP>1</SP> and the compressor 20 are mounted on vibration damping pads. The duct 2 and the machine space 4 are both provided with removable access doors. A valve 3<SP>1</SP> provides communication between the duct 2 and the space 4. The duct 2 and space 4 may be transposed, or the partition 3 arranged vertically.
