Heading F4V [Also in Division F1] In a vehicle interior heating and air conditioning apparatus, the housing 23 of a transverse-flow fan 17 is rotatable in fixed bearing portions 26, 27, 28 in a stationary casing. In the position shown, the housing causes the outside air to be drawn into the fan rotor 22 and delivered therefrom through a heater 13 and into the vehicle interior via a port 15. In an alternative position, the housing causes air from the vehicle interior to be drawn into the rotor via the port 15 and heater 13 and returned into the vehicle interior via a cooler 14 and a port 16, the heater then being inoperative. The heater is heated by hot fluid, usually the hot water flowing through the engine cooling radiator, and the cooler is cooled by a refrigerated fluid.
