Abstract

1,077,148. Heating and cooling vehicles. DELANEY GALLAY Ltd. Nov. 24, 1965 [Oct. 27, 1964], No. 43828/64. Heading F4V. A fan 20 draws air into a vehicle heating and cooling unit through a fresh air inlet 15 and recirculated air inlets 16 and 17 and discharges it through a perforated partition 14 to outlets 25 and 26 which are provided with means for the alternative mounting of closure plates or cooling and heating units 31 and 32. A single flap 18 controls the inlets 15 and 17 and a further single flap 28 controls the outlets 25 and 26. The heater is heated by engine coolant and the cooler forms part of a refrigeration circuit whose compressor may be thermostatically operated. The fan 20 may be of centrifugal or axial flow type and in the latter case two may be provided. The fan speed may be controllable.
