Abstract

1382074 Rocker recliner chairs LANE CO Inc 24 Feb 1972 8611/72 Heading A4J In a rocker-recliner chair having a locking mechanism 18 which prevents rocking of the chair when the seat and back are reclined, a two part footrest 30, 32 is supported on linkages 20, 22 at each side of the chair and is movable between retracted and extended positions independently of the movement of the back and seat, the locking mechanism also preventing rocking of the chair when the footrest is moved and the two footrest linkages being inter-connected by a tube 24 to which the locking mechanism which extends centrally of the chair is pivotally connected. The locking mechanism includes a roller 248 which engages the chair base to prevent rocking.
