Reciprocating or oscillating sieves.-A tobacco riddling and cleaning machine comprises a shaking-frame 2 carrying a removable horizontal shortening or riddling screen 3, an inclined sifting or cleaning screen 4, and an inclined floor or bottom 6 for the discharge of the sand, dust, or other foreign matter. The sifted tobacco is delivered into a receptacle 8 and the dust &c. into a receptacle 9.
