Abstract

1376572 Buckles KOHSHOH Ltd 27 Feb 1973 [11 Oct 1972] 9526/73 Headings E2A and E2B A single piece plastics fastener comprises two plate members 10 and 12 interconnected by a flexible hinge member 14 the plate member 10 having a slot 20 through which one end portion of a belt or the like may pass and be secured to the plate member, the plate member 10 having one or more projecting members 16 which is or are engageable in a hole or respective holes 18 or recesses in the plate member 12 and other end portion of the belt or the like when the plates are in overlapping relation with the other end portion of the belt or the like between them. As shown in Fig. 11 the plate member 10 has also a rib 13 which is engageable in a channel 15 in the plate member 12. Each plate member has ridges 17 for gripping the other end portions of the belt or the like. The ridges may be zig-zag and the plate member 12 which may have a lateral projection which engages in a cut out in one edge of the plate member 10. The projecting member or members may be variously shaped, the hole or holes or recess or recesses being complementarily shaped. The end of the or each projecting member 16 and the plate member 12 may have a notch 200 and slot 300 respectively Figs. 6 and 8 (not shown) to facilitate engagement of the projecting member in the hole.
