A lingerie clasp comprises a unitary strip of flexible plastics material having a portion 24 constituting a pivotal connection and snap fastener elements 14, 18 at each end so that the ends may be fastened together to form a closed loop, means, e.g. a hook 25, cooperating aperture 21 and a portion 23 of the pivotal connection, being provided adjacent the portion 24 for receiving the limb (31) Fig. 3 (not shown) of a safety pin when the loop is open and trapping the limb when the loop is closed. The socket element 18 of the snap fastener is of square shape with rounded corners, but may equally well be rectangular, round-ended or oval, and has four arcuate openings 20, to render the element more flexible. The other fastener element 14 has a head 17 of circular cross section. The hook 25 terminates in a horizontal face 26 abutting the tops of ribs 23 provided on each of the two hinge elements 22. These elements, defining an aperture 21 so that the limb (31) Fig. 3 (not shown) of a safety pin passed between the ribs 23 and hook face 26 when the clasp is fully open, is surrounded by the walls of the aperture 21 and trapped when the clasp is closed.
