Abstract

1391387 Strap fastenings KADE PATENTVERWERTUNGS AG 1 May 1973 [5 May 1972 19 March 1973] 20688/73 Heading E2A A strap fastening comprises two straps 1, 5 and a connecting member 6 the strap 1 having two spaced self adhering strips 2, 3 and the connecting member comprising two retaining bars 8, 9, the member 6 being attached or releasably attachable to one end portion of the strap 5 one of the retaining bars being situated in the fastening position between the strips 2, 3 and within a loop formed by joining the strips, the edges of the strips being hemmed and each of the retaining bars being provided with indentations 9, 10 for the hemmed edges which are thicker than the indentations are deep. One end portion of the strap 5 is looped around the bar 9 and is stitched close to the bar. The member 6 may have a central bar 11a, Fig. 4. The connecting member may comprise two members 18, 19 each having a respective slot 13, 14 with indentations 20, 27. The part 19 has a tongue 29 which is insertable in an aperture 21 in the part 18 and pivotable to lie in a recess in the part 18 to lie flush with one surface, and the part 19 lies in a stepped portion to lie flush with the other surface. A pair of plugs 32 on the part 19 snap engage in holes 26 in the part 18 to secure the parts together. One part may be bent at an angle, Fig. 10 (not shown).
