[Also in Division A3] A fastening for a bracelet or the like comprises spigot and socket parts 3, 4 attachable to the ends of a bracelet or the like. The spigot part 3 has a number of parallel spigots 7 one or more of which is or are selectively engageable in the socket part 4 through an open lateral end of the socket part, a neck S connecting a pair of spigots then being retained in a slot 11 in the socket part. A retaining clip pivoting on the spigot part 3 to conceal the join of the parts has a detent 22 which snap engages in the open end of the socket and retains a spigot or spigots therein. Alternatively the clip is pivotally secured to the socket part. To produce the effect of a buckle fastener one end of two strap sections is attached to one fastener part the upper one of the sections having its other end free.
