Abstract

1498655 Attachment device CHRYSLER UNITED KINGDOM Ltd 23 April 1976 [20 May 1975] 21633/75 Heading E2B An attachment device for attaching a flexible tether to a track has pivotally connected members 15, 19 having apertures 24, 25 respectively to receive a strap 26 therein and being pivotally connected by a spindle 16 and sleeve 20. The members 15, 19 are provided with flanges 18d and flange 21 respectively and the member 15 has an aperture 17. The strap 26 has a buckle 29 and is secured to an eye 27 having a hook extension 28. In use the members 15, 19 are inserted into a track 12, having channels 13, 13 and the hook extension 28 engages a side bar 11 of a wheelchair for example (not shown), the tightening of the strap causes the flanges of the members 15, 19 to firmly engage the channels 13 and so retain the wheelchair to a vehicle (for example). In a modification as shown in Fig. 6 rivets 30 permanently connect the strap to the members 15, 19.
