Abstract

1,063,697. Hinges. E. K. COLE Ltd. Oct. 26, 1964 [Oct. 30, 1963], No. 42781/63. Heading E2F. A hinge comprises two plates 1, 1a formed of a plastics material e.g. polypropylene, joined along their straight edges by an integral thin flexible portion 2, each plate having a slot 3 and thin edge portions 7 formed with notches 6, the plates being adapted to slide into a tapered slot (9) in a member (8) to which the hinge is to be attached, the ends of the plates being forced towards each other until protuberances 11 enter recesses (10). The recesses may be open to the reverse side of the plate (8 Fig. 5) and by using an appropriate tool the notches can be disengaged and the plate released.
