Abstract

1376221 Dynamo-electric machines PAPSTMOTOREN KG 7 Jan 1972 [8 Jan 1971] 870/72 Addition to 1310982 Heading H2A The rotor of an external rotor electric motor is mounted on a shaft 25 by a disc-shaped metal plate 42 partly embedded in a cast metal part 45 of the rotor. The motor disclosed is a squirrel cage induction fan motor and the cast metal part 45 is one of the end rings of the aluminium squirrel cage. The metal plate 42 is secured to a bushing 41 on the shaft by a pressing operation, by welding or by soldering. The stator carries journal and thrust bearings for the shaft.
