Abstract

1382731 Dynamo-electric machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 15 Dec 1972 [17 Dec 1971] 57907/72 Heading H2A A fuel feed unit comprises an electric motor 2 and a pump 1 whose rotors are rotatably mounted on a rod 8 and are interconnected by a splined plug-in coupling 16, at least one pole 18 of the motor stator being offset from the motor rotor towards the pump rotor so that, in use, the motor rotor is magnetically pulled towards the pump rotor. As shown, the pump rotor 10 is mounted on a bearing 14 which, through the splined coupling 16, also supports one end of the motor rotor. The pump is a side channel pump including a channel side plate 6 fixed to the stationary rod 8. The motor and pump are enclosed in interfitting housing parts 3, 4.
