Abstract

1,258,898. Mixing device. SILVERSON MACHINES Ltd. 5 Feb., 1969 [13 Feb., 1968], No. 7141/68. Heading B1C. A mixing device comprises a bladed rotor 1 secured to shaft 5 connected to the output shaft of electric motor 7, a stator 11 provided with a bearing to support the lower end of shaft 5, and members 27 for supporting the stator, each member extending in a direction away from the stator axially and radially outwardly of shaft 5 to a plate 29 secured to the motor housing. Members 27 may be formed from tubing having slots or may be rods. When the motor is energised, material within the stator is rotated by the rotor, sheared, and expelled radially outwardly through apertures in the side of the stator. Further material is drawn upwardly into the stator via an aperture in the lower end wall of the stator.
