Abstract

1372982 Two for one twisters with hand knotter PALITEX PROJECT-CO GmbH 11 June 1973 [12 July 1972] 27685/73 Heading DID A two for one twister has a stationary holder 25 for releasably mounting a hand knotter 21 infront of each spindle at a position suitable for a thread knotting operation. A transmitter 30 may be provided whose plunger 31 is engaged by the clamping part 28 of the knotter 21 when it is in its holder 25. The transmitter is arranged to stop rotation of the spindle and the subsequent winding device and activate a pneumatic threading up device when the knotter is in position. Each spindle station may be provided with sliding tension members 34 mounted on vertical guides 33 to maintain tension in the yarn ends 4', 4" during knotting, grippers 35 being provided to hold the extremities of the yarn. Reference is made to Specifications 1339211, 1251296 and 1309210 which relate to spindle controls, winder controls and pneumatic threaders respectively.
