137,070. Kohler, C. Dec. 27, 1918, [Convention date]. Driving-gear of crank-type.-A steam turbine drives the axles of a locomotive through doublereduction spur gearing and crank gearing. The turbine shaft 3 and crank-shaft 8 are connected through the intermediate shaft 5 by spur gearing, and the axles 13, 14 are connected by rods 10 to the cranks on the shaft 8. The turbine 2 is' supplied with steam through the pipe 16 and exhausts into the condenser 18.
