Abstract

1369883 Level-luffing jib cranes EISENBAU WYRLEN AG 29 March 1972 [31 March 1971] 14607/72 Heading B8B A crane comprises a jib 1 luffable about a pivot 2 by a luffing gear 3, a load 7 being handled by a hoisting winch 4. In a method of ensuring level-luffing a first contactless pulse transmitter sensor 8 measures the degree of luffing while a second contactless pulse transmitter sensor 12 coupled to load rope guide roller 5 measures the variation in the length of the rope. The sensors 8, 12 are connected to a comparator 11 which regulates drive motor 9 of the hoisting winch 4.
