Abstract

1360195 Smokers' ash-tray F T PRODUCTS Ltd 8 July 1971 [11 June 1970] 28366/70 Heading A2M [Also in Division E2] An ash receptacle 30 is mounted in an aper lure in a panel 32 by a clip comprising a rectangular frame 11 having on one pair of opposite edges a resilient tongue 20 and a relatively non resilient lug 19 engaging opposite side walls of the ash receptacle so as to allow movement of the clip relatively to the ash receptacle in one direction the other facing edges having a flange 17, 18 respectively for engaging behind projections 37 to 40 on the third and fourth side walls of the ash receptacle. The ash receptacle is released by displacing it by flexing the tongue 20 so that the projections align with cut outs 17a, 18a and end recesses in the flanges, the ash receptacle there snaps out of the clip which is under tension when retaining the ash receptacle. The outer side edges of the clip are flanged. The ash receptacle has a peripheral flange 34 which abuts the exterior surface of the panel and the clip abuts the interior surface of the panel.
