Abstract

1,181,796. Clips. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 17 July, 1967 [12 Aug., 1966], No. 36121/66. Heading E2B. [Also in Division F4] A lamp bezel 19 hinged at 21 to a dished lamp supporting member 11 is retained in position by a clip 13 engaged with the supporting member and having a resilient lug 16 to hold the bezel. The clip, which is preferably made of synthetic resin, is located in a U-shaped slot formed in the rim 12 of the member 11 and has a peripheral groove 14 in which the edges of the slot engage. A resilient finger 15 extends into the dished portion of the member to retain the clip in place. When the bezel is pressed into engagement with the clip it slides over the surface 18 of the lug 16 and snaps behind a shoulder 17, the clip then being masked by the bezel.
