Abstract

1,013,720. Clips. GAYLORD PRODUCTS Inc. Oct. 28, 1964, No. 44042/64. Heading E2B. [Also in Division A4] A hair or curl clip comprises a unitary body 1 pressure-moulded in a synthetic plastic, such as polypropylene, and consisting of hairclamping parts 12, 13, an integral hinge 11, and finger grip parts 16, 17, and a separate metal spring 20 urging the parts 12, 13 into contact. The ends of the spring are inserted in slots 19 and the spring is pre-shaped to lie in contact with the hinge 11. The hair-clamping parts are serrated, may be formed as V-shaped plates and, as shown in Figs. 10, 11, the spring is L-shaped having one limb received in a slot 31 and the other abutting a lug 33, or is formed as an incomplete ring 36 passed through apertures 34, 35 so that the ends engage the hair-clamping parts.
