Abstract

1,147,940. Brackets. DOM HOLDINGS Ltd. 1 June, 1967 [29 Nov., 1966], No. 53446/66. Heading A4B. [Also in Division E2] A clip comprises a base member 1 by which the clip can be attached to the surface and a resilient clip member 4 slidable on the base member to be retained thereby, the clip member having a portion spaced from the base member so as to form an aperture in which an article such as a cable or earthing strip is retained and the clip having integral means for preventing accidental and sliding movement of the clip member after it has been assembled on the base member. In the construction shown the base member includes upstanding edge portions 3 so that the base member has a channel in which the article is received the channel being closed by the clip member. The clip member 4 has two downturned portions 6 the ends of which form a slanting groove 7 and this groove co-operates with extended portions 8 of the base member for the sliding interengagement. The upstanding portions 3 are each provided with a recess 10 in which a projection 11 carried by the clip member engages to prevent separation of the two members. In a modification the recesses are in the extended portion 8 and the projections which engages with them are suitably positioned on the clip member.
