Block tyres; rims and felloes.-A tvre section, block or stud C, cut from solid rubber band tyres secured to a curved metal base B which is of greater or less curvature than the rim A, is secured to the rim by a bolt D so that, during the application of the bolt, the base B conforms to the curvature of the rim to make proper contact thereon. The bolts D may pass through a central recess in the rubber; or two bolts, one at each end, may be provided. The section &c. C may be of diamond or rhomboidal shape, Fig. 6, provided with cut-away portions B<8> for the reception of the bolts D. Where two or more circumferential rows of blocks &c. are used, the transverse row of bolts D may be staggered. In a modification, Fig. 13, the base B is provided with ribs B<4> B<5> which come into contact with the rim successively during the application of the section &c. thereto. The base B, Fig. 15, is provided with projections B<6> with overhanging parts B<7>to ensure a proper grip between the metal base and the vulcanite.
