Abstract

1356444 Ventilating D GORCHEV 12 July 1971 [10 July 1970] 32640/71 Heading F4V A valve in a duct leading to a diffuser unit comprises an annular plate 24 secured to the duct 12 by clips 32, the plate 24 having an inner perimeter 28 which defines an orifice 30, and a member 50 for controlling the flow of air through the duct. The member 50 has a tapering convex outer surface 54, and is movable into the orifice 30. The member 50 is mounted on a mounting bridge, having upright legs 36 secured to the plate 24 by feet 28. The spanning portion 40 of the bridge has an aperture 42 and a threaded receptacle 44 secured thereto to act as a mount for a threaded adjustment shaft 46 extending along the axis of the orifice 30, the member 50 being screwed to the lower end of the shaft 46 for rotation therewith. A second embodiment for insertion into a duct delivering air through the floor of the room is also described.
