Abstract

1354223 Tamperproof closure ALUMINUM CO OF AMERICA 16 June 1972 [23 June 1971 27 Oct 1971] 28382/72 Heading B8T A resilient plug 30 is made tamperproof by a metal ring 40 fixed on the container neck and a cover 50 retained over it by outwardly directed lugs 60 formed in the ring. The cover is released by rotating it so that the lugs 60 are flattened by the one or more bosses 70 formed in its skirt 56. With the cover removed the plug 30 may be pierced by a syringe. The ring 40 and cover 50 may be of aluminium or steel, or the cover of plastics.
