1351644 Hair drier SUNBEAM CORP 22 June 1971 [30 June 1970] 29287/71 Heading A5R An inflatable hair drier bonnet 20 comprises inner and outer walls 21 and 22 of flexible sheet material formed into rearward and forward bladder portions located to embrace the wearers neck and head respectively, the inner wall 21 (shown, in plan view in Fig. 9) having perforations 28 to allow drying-air from an inlet port 23 to pass to the wearers hair. The walls are heat sealed at their peripheries and the assembly folded about the axis A-A and heat sealed along corresponding edges 29, 31 and 29, 30 and 33, 35 to form the assembled bonnet. The walls 21 and 22 are also heat sealed along lines 40, 41, 44 and 45, whereby the forward bladder section is split into fingers 36, 37, 38, 39, 43, 42 which are inflated when air is passed through, and press against the head of the wearer to retain the bonnet in position. The rearward part 46 is also inflated between heat seals 44 and 45 when air flows, and retains the bonnet against the wearers neck. The inlet 23, a flexible hose has a connector fitting 24 engaged to an annulus 25 in the bonnet. The walls 21 and 22, are of polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride film about one to three mms in thickness. Corresponding fasteners 47, 48 at the lower edge at the rear of the bonnet enable its tightness on the head to be adjusted.
