Abstract
1349548 Inverters BORG-WARNER CORP 16 Sept 1971 [19 Oct 1970] 43314/71 Heading H2F In an inverter of the type supplying A.C. to a load line 34 from a D.C. input across leads 21, 22 having two series connected main S.C.R.'s 23, 24, two auxiliary series S.C.R.'s 25, 26, two series diodes 32, 33 in anti-parallel with both S.C.R. branches all connected across the D.C. input leads and an L.C. commutating circuit 27, 44 connected between the mid points 30, 31 of the S.C.R. branches, high current and voltage change rates and surge protection across a single S.C.R. branch is brought about by two inductors 40, 41 connected each to a respective D.C. terminal and each again to the anodes of S.C.R.'s 23, 25 and cathodes of S.C.R.'s 24, 26 respectively.
