Abstract
1347736 Measuring bores: measuring bores electrically J PERTHEN 19 Nov 1971 53981/71 Heading G1M and G1N A device for measuring long bores comprises a feeler mechanism mounted in a housing 5, and a pair of rotatable centring bodies 7, 8 mounted on the housing 5. Centring body 7 is rotatably mounted on housing 5 by means of ball bearings 6 and comprises three contact members 9 Fig. 2, (not shown) each mounted on a leaf-spring 10. Each leaf-spring 10 has a pin 14 engaging an adjustment member 13 connected via a spring 12 to adjustment screw 11. Centring body 8 comprises a sleeve rotatably mounted on spindle 3a of housing 5, and three contact members 15 Fig. 3, (not shown) each mounted on a spring and adjustable by means of ring 16. The feeler mechanism comprises a pair of feeler pins 17, 18 mounted on measuring arms 21, 22 which are articulated to each other by spring 23. Arm 21 is mounted on block 3 of housing 5 by means of leaf-spring 28. The relative disposition of arms 21, 22 may be measured inductively by means of coil systems 24, 25 and ferromagnetic bodies 26, 27, or by a capacitative system.
