1344235 Waterproofing; coating BAUTYPEN AG 14 March 1972 11762/72 Headings E1S and E1W [Also in Division C3] A construction material for use on roofs, walls, floors or building foundations consists of a thermally insulating and clamp-proofing material comprising a plurality of separate particles of expanded polystyrene and a bitumen binder in a ratio by volume of 1:6. The binder may be a bitumen emulsion or solution and may include a mineral filler e.g. slate flour, asbestos flour, cement or expanded clay. The expanded polystyrene particles may be spherical and of diameter 1-12 mm. The material may be formed into a structural panel which is used to cover a roof-shell or it may be applied on a damp course on a concrete shell and then covered with acrylic fibre fabric or a wire gauze.
