Abstract

1344170 Ventilators CARL MUNTERS AB 2 March 1971 5818/71 Heading F4V In a ventilation system having a conduit 16 for supplying air to a ceiling opening, an air flow throttling member 18 mounted in the conduit outlet comprises strips combined to form straight air passages each having a diamete of less than 3 mm. The strips are made of asbestos, which may be reinforced, or metal. The member 18 as shown is formed by a plane strip and a corrugated strip placed face to face and wound spirally, or by strips forming a honeycomb pattern. One or more members 18 are removably mounted in the conduit 16 with rubber sealing rings 20. Alternatively, the member 18 is replaceable by another of greater or lesser depth. An air filter 38 is provided in a main air channel 14. In another embodiment, the air is also delivered to the room through substantially horizontal or downwardly inclined passages of an annular throttling member (28, Fig. 3) superposed on a throttling member 18.
