1340537 Clips F T PRODUCTS Ltd 10 July 1972 [9 July 1971] 32434/71 Addition to 1296677 Heading E2B A resilient fastener for attaching two or more elongate articles to a support comprises a body 11 having a bearing surface 22, e.g. on an annular sealing skirt 12, adapted to bear against the support, means on or incorporated in the body for attaching the fastener to the support, at least one inverted U- shaped arm 24 having two limbs 27, 28 which are adapted to embrace an elongate article 34 and are disposed on one side of the body and which extend in a direction generally perpendicular to the bearing surface with the open mouth of the U-shaped arm directed towards the plane of the bearing surface, the arm being formed with an internal restriction spaced from the open mouth 30 and the distance b between a free end of one limb 27 and the said plane of the bearing surface being less than the distance a between the limbs at the internal restriction, and a channel 35 above the body and formed with an upwardly directed opening of restricted width which is adapted to receive an elongate article 39. As shown, the fastener has a shank 13 formed by two resilient tongues 14, 15 connected by a web 16 and provided with shoulders 17, 18 between which and the skirt 12 the support is gripped; alternatively, the body has a keyhole-shaped slot to slidingly engage the fastener on a stud, or the fastener is attached to the support by a rivet.
