Abstract

1334799 Diazotype materials RICOH K K 26 Nov 1970 [24 Dec 1969] 56551/70 Heading G2C A onecomponent diazotype material comprises a support and a layer containg a diazonium compound and in a layer between the support and the diazonium layer as a stabilizer, a salt of a benzene sulphonic acid or formula wherein R 1 and R 2 are hydrogen or alkyl with 1 to 5 carbon atoms, at least one of R 1 and R 2 being alkyl and X is sodium or potassium. In the examples, the support is coated with a layer of corn starch, silica and polyvinyl acetate and the sulphonic acid salt and overerated with a layer containing the diazonium salt, a dye and optionally caffeine or theophyldine. The intermediate layer may also contain a condensation product of a naphthalene sulphonic acid and formaldehyde as disclosed in app. 55951/70 as an additional stabilizer.
