Abstract
1408245 Diazotype materials HOECHST AG 29 May 1973 [31 May 1972] 25375/73 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] A one-component diazotype material includes a support having thereon a light-sensitive layer containing as a light-sensitive diazonium compound of the formula where R 1 is an optionally substituted alkyl or aralkyl group, Y is a halogen atom or the trifluoromethyl group, X is the anion of the diazonium group, n is 1 or 2 and R2 is an optionally substituted alkyl or aralkyl group when n is 1 and is an alkylene group having 2-6 carbon atoms when n is 2, which alkylene group may be interrupted by an oxygen atom, a sulphur atom or an optionally substituted benzene nucleus. The support may be coated with a polyvinyl acetate/starch layer or a cellulose ester layer which is hydrolyzed before coating or impregnating with the diazotype layer which may include gelatine or gum arabic as binder.
