1334442 Iron-based alloys LENCO A G 31 Aug 1971 [31 Aug 1970] 40505/71 Heading C7A [Also in Division H2] A hysteresis material comprising sintered alnico material containing 9-10% Al, 15-17% Ni,, 5-7% Co, 1À5-2À5% Cu, 0À005-0À2% B, remainder Fe, has a coercive field strength of 180-240 oersteds and a remanence greater than 8000 Gauss. The hysteresis material is prepared by subjecting the alnico material to soaking, annealing at 1220-1280‹C., cooling in still air to 550-650‹C., retention at the latter temperature for four to ten minutes and then air-cooling to room temperature within four minutes.
