Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a spinodal decomposition type Fe-Cr-Mo-Co permanent magnet alloy which comprises prescribed quantities of Cr, Mo and Co and the rest of Fe and unavoidable impurities and can be shortened in the time of aging treatment under a magnetic field and heightened in the speed of cooling in continuous-cooling aging treatment or multistage-cooling aging treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A spinodal decomposition type Fe-Cr-Mo-Co permanent magnet alloy is composed of 15W35% of Cr, less than 15% of Mo. 1W6% of Co, at least one of 0.1W0.9% of Ti, 0.01W0.1% of Al, 0.02W2% of Misch metal, 1W2% of V, 0.5W2% of Si and 0.05W2% of Zr and the rest of Fe and unavoidable impurities such as Si and C. The under-magnetic-field aging (or isothermal aging) treatment time of the alloy is 2hr or less. The average cooling speed in the continuous-cooling aging (or multistage aging) treatment time of the alloy can be set at 3W40°C per hour. The heat treatment time is thus shortened to a large extent.
