Abstract

1,146,936. Grain oriented silicon-iron. VACUUMSCHMELZE G.m.b.H. Sept.13, 1967 [Sept.14, 1966], No.41758/67. Heading C7A. A sheet of Si-Fe alloy having 2-4% Si and cubic or (100) [001] texture is cold rolled with 0À5-2% reduction and then annealed at 750-1100‹ C. in a protective atmosphere, e.g. of dry H 2 , to reduce losses produced by eddy currents and hysteresis when used at audio frequencies above 50 c/s for magnetic purposes.
