Abstract
1,262,014. Grain oriented electrical steel sheet. KAWASAKI SEITETSU K.K. April 15, 1969 [April 16, 1968], No.19294/69. Heading C7A. 0À001% to 0À1% of selenium is added to mild or low silicon steel containing less than 2À3% silicon, which is then hot-rolled to sheet of 1À5 to 3 mm. thickness, normalized above the A 3 temperature, cold rolled in a single stage to a reduction of 35 to 80%, decarburized to less than 0À005%C and finally recrystallization annealed at a temperature not above the alpha-phase region. The steel may also contain 0À04 to 0À2% manganese to prevent brittleness. Final annealing may be carried out at 900‹ C. in hydrogen.
