Abstract

1326503 Supercharged I.C. engines SOC D'ETUDES DE MACHINES THERMIQUES 27 April 1971 11503/71 Heading F1B An exhaust gas driven turbo-blower 3' mounted at one end of a row of in-line cylinders 2 supplies charging air to the engine via an air cooler 9' mounted at the opposite end of the cylinder row. The pipe 8 directly connecting the turbo-blower 3' and cooler 9' includes a silencer 11 and may have additional air cooling. The cylinder banks of the V-engine, Fig.2 (not shown), have respective turbo-blowers and air coolers connected by the pipe 8.
