Abstract
1345305 Charging two-stroke I. C. engines GOTAVERKEN A B 19 April 1972 [23 April 1971] 18181/72 Heading F1B A two-stroke I. C. engine is supplied with combustion air from compressors 15, 16 in series with an interposed cooler 17 which permits air to enter compressor 16 at substantially the same temperature as that of the ambient air, turbines 13, 14 driving the compressors 15, 16 being in series. Exhaust gas passes from the engine via a receiver 12 to the turbine 13 and thence to the turbine 14 without any interposed receiver, the compressor-turbine units having substantially the same power consumption.
