1325590 Grenade throwers TAMPELLA AB OY 4 Nov 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 52402/70 Heading F3C A grenade thrower has its aiming attachment 10, Fig. 3, regulated in its angular setting by means of a casing 15 being rotated around a tube 2 of the thrower. The tube 2 has a partspherically shaped end 3, Fig. 1, rotatably mounted in a concave portion 5 of a base-plate 4 and has a bipod 6 connected thereto, a clip 7 being attached to the bipod and being pivotally mounted by a bolt 9 to a clamp 8 which embraces the tube 2. An extension 11, Fig. 3, of the clamp 8 is provided with an internal screwthread 13 which receives a screw-threaded portion 14 of the casing 15. The extension 11 has a window 16 through which divisions of a range table 17, Fig. 2, on the casing 15 are visible and the casing 15 has a milled, for example, portion 15a which facilitates gripping by hand. A ring 18 is mounted on the casing 15 and is provided with a cam surface 19, Fig. 4, and with a limiting projection 27. The aiming attachment 10 is supported by a shaft 21, Fig. 2, which is mounted in a casing 22, secured by a flange 23, Fig. 3, to the extension 11. The shaft 21, Fig. 2, carries an arm 24, Figs. 2 and 4, which is urged by a spring 25 into engagement with the cam surface 19 of the ring, 18. When the casing 15 is rotated in either direction the shaft 21 is rotated via the cam surface 19 and the arm 24, so that the aiming attachment 10 can be positioned horizontally. The elevation angle, adjustable by means of the bipod 6, Fig. 1, is visible in the window 16 of the bush 11, other required information, such as range, is also visible.
