Abstract

1323690 Magnetic switches JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 30 Nov 1970 [17 Dec 1969] 61435/69 Heading H1N A magnetic switch forming part of the distributer of an internal combustion engine has a permanent magnet 19 mounted on the rotor arm 17 of the distributer and co-operating with a plurality of sealed magnetic reed contact units (Fig. 2, not shown) on a printed circuit board 21. Two contact units spaced 180 degrees apart may be connected to the fuel injection system to supply fuel into two sets of cylinder inlet manifolds in accordance with a delay unit (not shown) controlling the fuel quantity in accordance with the air inlet opening speed and load.
