Abstract
1323232 Treating aluminium alloys VEREINIGTE ALUMINIUM-WERKE AG 14 July 1971 [14 July 1970] 33093/71 Headings C7A and C7D Aluminium alloys of the following composition in per cent by weight have their entrudability improved by addition to a melt of the alloy of a further 0À01-0À05% of B, treatment of the melt with Cl, A or N and, after forming into billets, homogenization, e.g. at 480-600‹C for 2-24 hours. B can be added as a chemical compound such as borax or potassium borofluoride or as an alloy of borax with aluminium.
