Abstract
1321159 Copper-lead alloy COLORADO SPRINGS NATIONAL BANK 9 Aug 1971 [10 Aug 1970] 37382/71 Heading C7D A copper-lead alloy is made by including a homogeneity promoter in a mixture of molten lead and copper, the promoter comprising elemental carbon and a rare earth metal compound. The alloy may also contain Zn, Sn and Ni. The carbon may be powdered graphite, bone - black, carbon black or charcoal. The rare earth metal compound may be an oxide, carbonate or halocarbonate, e.g. cerium fluorocarbonate. The promoter may also include an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal carbonate. Metal phosphate may also be added to the melt.
