Abstract

1317909 Lamps CARR FASTENER CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [14 April 1970] 17734/70 Heading F4R A lampholder adapted to be mounted in an aperture in a support such as a printed circuit panel comprises a plastics body 1 having a cavity 2 to receive the base of a lamp, a flange 3 adjacent the mouth of the cavity, a pair of opposed side walls 4, 5 extending axially outwardly away from the cavity, and an integral resilient wing 6 at each lateral end of both side walls, the wings being shaped to make snap engagement with the support when the lampholder is inserted into the aperture. Strip metal contacts 11, 12 (not shown) are assembled in the cavity to engage the lamp and have resilient extensions (not shown) between the wings to make contact with a printed circuit.
