Abstract

1,121,802. Lampholders. CARR FASTENER CO. Ltd. 24 Nov., 1966 [9 Feb., 1966], No. 5677/66. Heading H2E. A holder 1 for a capless lamp with an oblong cross-section base has an opposed pair of inwardly-sloping cam surfaces 3 at its forward end which cause rotation of the lamp base, when it is pushed into the holder, until it is aligned with and engaged in an oblong crosssection cavity 2 in the holder. The holder may be secured in a panel by engagement of a flange 7 at its forward end with one face of the panel and engagement of resilient fingers of a ratchet plate, which is located on the opposite side of the panel, with opposed projections on the underside of the flange 7.
