Abstract

1315840 Diaphragm pumps MUNSTER SIMMS ENG Ltd 7 Oct 1971 [4 Nov 1970] 52558/70 Heading F1A A double-acting diaphragm pump, e. g. for a caravan or boat, comprises diaphragms 12 defining pumping chambers 8 and reciprocated by a pedal 26 on a bell crank lever 20 acting via arms 22 and a member 13 biased by a spring 16, each pumping chamber 8 having passages 31 connected in pairs by tubes 32 containing inlet and outlet valves respectively. Each tube 32 has a radially-extending connecting pipe 33, and is rotatably mounted in passages 31. Each valve comprises a flexible flap 37, the outlet valve assembly being shown. Mounting brackets 40 are seatable in a number of positions on the pump.
