Abstract

1315636 Ignition systems BRAUN AG 23 July 1971 [27 July 1970] 34671/71 Heading F1B An igntion system, which may be used with a pocket or table lighter, comprises a circuit functioning as a blocking oscillator and voltage transformer energy taken from a low voltage source during a conducting state of a transistor T of the blocking oscillator benig stored in a transformer winding and supplied during a blocking state of the transistor through a diode D to a capacitor C1 in the secondary circuit of the transformer U. After actuation of a switch TA the capacitor is discharged through the primary winding LI of the transformer for generating the ignition voltage across a spark gap F, while the transistor of the blocking oscillator is operatively disconnected from the transformer. It is stated that the switch TA shown can be replaced wholly or partially by electronic switches.
