Abstract

1314771 Glazing HORDIS BROS Inc 4 Jan 1971 [5 Jan 1970] 317/71 Heading E1R The differential pressure between the sealed space between the panes of a double glazed window and the atmosphere is limited by a venting system 28 permitting air flow in both directions. The seal comprises a U-tube 28 of mercury one end 24 of which is connected to the sealed space and the other end 32 is open to the atmosphere, both ends preferably having fibre glass filter plugs (38). In Fig. 8 (not shown) an alternative form of seal comprises a vessel 40 contains the mercury and having tubes 50, 42.
