Abstract

1313728 Centrifugal pumps A BLUM 19 April 1971 [30 Jan 1970] 25307/71 Heading F1C In an arrangement which comprises a submersible electric motor 14, Fig. 1 and a pump 13 and guide elements 16 guided on guide means 17 to bring a pressure discharge pipe opposite an inlet aperture, the guide means includes aligning devices which when the assemblage is being lowered come into engagement and align the motor-pump assemblage so as to avoid fouling during its.further lowering. A pin or rib 171 engages a funnel-shaped recess on the internal surface of sleeve 161. In a modification the sleeve may be on the external surface of guide tube 17 and formed with a recess which is engaged by a pin or rib carried on the internal surface of a sleeve mounted on the motor-pump assembly. In the position shown the guide tube 17 is rotated to bring the flanges into engagement.
