990,462. Gear pumps. M. CLAUSEN. May 4, 1961, No. 16255/61. Heading F1F. The first stage 2 of a two stage gear pump has a spring loaded end plate 10 by which excess pressure may be relieved into the suction chamber 7. The first and second stages 2, 3 are both driven by a shaft 6, and the suction chamber 5 of the second chamber may be connected by a valve 20 and line 19 with the reservoir 17. As described, the pump supplies oil to an oil burner nozzle 15.
