Abstract

1312480 Gas turbine plant SOC GENERALE DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES ET MECANIQUES (ALSTHOM) 15 June 1970 28983/70 Heading F1G The gas turbine plant shown in Fig. 1 comprises a compressor 1, combustion equipment 4 and a turbine 5 connected to drive the compressor through a shaft as indicated by the chain dot line. Water is injected into the air from the compressor by means of a device 2 and the air and water mixture is preheated in a heat exchanger 3 by exhaust gases from the turbine. In Fig. 2 the air and water mixture is again preheated in heat exchanger 8 and then passed directly into the turbine 9, the air and water mixture discharging from the turbine passing to combustion equipment 10 to which fuel is supplied, the combustion gases then passing to the heat exchanger 8 to preheat the air and water mixture.
